Pre and post care

Electrolysis Pre Care:

• Do not touch the hair for 2-3 days before your appointment.
• FYI, women can be more sensitive on their menstrual cycle.
• Taking Motrin or Tylenol 30 minutes before your appointment may make the treatment more tolerable.
• Avoid retinol for 48 hours before.
• Exfoliating the skin keeps keep the follicles open for easier probe insertions.
• You may only cut, shave or dermaplane the hairs in between appointments.

Electrolysis Post Care:

• If scabs appear, do not pick. They will fall off.
• Use only ice, Epsom salt and antibiotic cream for 48 hours after treatment.
• No sun exposure for 48 hours after.

Laser/IPL Pre Care:

• Shave the area the night before.
• Avoid tanning and sunless tanning cream for 3-4 weeks before the appointment.
• Only shaving is allowed for 3-4 weeks before your appointment.
• If underarms are being treated, please do not wear deodorant.
• Stop retinol for 48 hours before.
• Avoid Accutane for a year prior.

Laser/IPL Post Care:

• You may have redness or swelling, it will feel like a sunburn. You can only apply ice to the area and/or take Benadryl or allergy meds.
• If needed, use only aloe, antibiotic cream or Aquafor.
• No sun exposure for 48 hours after.
